Old historic specimen from "Nagybanya/Hungary" today Nagyag/Romania. This is not a specimen for having a nice Pyrargyrite this is more a specimen for the locality collectors. The Pyrargyrite is damaged as you can see on the pictures. You can see some crystal faces but not a whole crystal. In my opinion this specimen comes out of a very thin vein so that there was no space for growing. The Pyrargyrite covers 1cm. The label comes from the "Mineralien-Niederlage Freiberg", it seems as if one of the unknowing pre-owners cutted a pricing label.

Nice Semseyite specimen with good crystal-aggregates up to 1cm. There are several groups of Semseyite xx, also on the backside of the specimen. The Quartz reaches up to 2cm. A good specimen from a classic locality.

Here I present another specimen of Lustrous Realgare-xx up to 7mm together with Chalcostibite-xx and Zinkenite-xx (partly growing through the Realgare-xx). See also page 8 of the September issue 2002 of the Lapis Mineral Magazine. This was a single find in the Boldut Mine and specimens of this paragenesis are really hard to get. This is your second chance to get a true Romanian rarity. Matrix is Sphalerite.

Chalcostibite with Calcite on Quartz

Great crystals of the rare Cu-Sb-Sulfid Chalcostibite (up to 2mm), with Quartz (1cm) and small Calcites. The specimen has all over groups of Chalcostibite. This should be in every Romania collection.

Eyecatcher!!! Very Lustrous Bournonite-xx up to 1cm. I didn't count them but there are for sure more than 100 Bournonite-xx on the specimen.
Quartz up to 15mm, hundreds of Pyrites and small brown-red Sphalerites. The specimen comes from the 2002 mining season in the Boldut mine. Almost no damage. I say "almost" because for a specimen like this (concerning size), you could perhaps say: no damage.

Perfect Galena-Octahedrons up to 10mm on the edge, together with some 10-20mm Marcasite-aggregates. There's also some Baryte up to 10mm. The specimen features a 35mm x 30mm x 20mm Perimorphose of a crystal that has been removed. I can't say what the crystal has been before the removal, but I think it was a Baryte. Now in the Perimorphose there are Marcasite-aggregates. Some damage (not much).
